Fingerprints in soft slabs of grogged clay which are individually cut and formed together were dried for 10 days. This was followed by the first firing in a ceramic kiln at about 1000ºC. The vase was cooled for 24 hours and before the final firing it was completely immersed in the special raku

  • Raku fired pieces retain scent of smoke for several weeks due to specific firing processes.
  • Raku fired items are porous and no liquid should be poured or kept in the bottles who think they are vases as it may seep through and leave permanent stains on your furniture.
